Who's the Greatest

Hey Y’all, it’s been a while but I wanted to share something with you that I read in Luke chapter 9 verses 47 and 48.  Where Jesus took a little child and sat him beside him and told the disciples that he that is least among you is the greatest.  Then a crazy thought came to my head.  Can you see the disciples running to the back of the line and saying, “Look Jesus, I’m the least, I’m the least?”  Then a sobering thought came to mind and it went like this;

To be least in hopes of being great is not great at all, to be humble in hopes of being praised is not true humility.

Look at Joseph and Naomi in the scriptures.  Naomi, in her pride said, “Look at me how pitiful I am.” While Joseph proclaiming what God had given him in a dream in humility proclaimed “Thus saith the Lord.”

Remember, to be least in hopes of being great is not great at all, to be humble in hopes of being praised is not true humility.  Let us be servants in humility.
